Gallery
In forty years of services to Brazilian contemporary art, Silvia Cintra Art Gallery has established itself as one of the main galleries in the country as well as a reference in Rio de Janeiro, representing artists such as Amilcar de Castro, Miguel Rio Branco, Nelson Leirner, Iole de Freitas, Ana Maria Tavares, Sebastião Salgado, Cristina Canale, Roberto Magalhães, among others. Since January 2010 we have moved to a new building in Gavea specially built to host our new space.
The new space also consolidates the merging of Silvia Cintra Art Gallery and Box 4, founded in 2006 by Juliana Cintra, Silvia’s daughter, focused on young artists such as Laercio Redondo, Marcius Galan, Chiara Banfi, Cinthia Marcelle, Maria Klabin, Pedro Motta, among others. With the merger, the gallery Silvia Cintra + Box 4 seeks to propose a new art experience in Rio.
We concentrate in one place the best of what is being made in Brazilian contemporary art, with an intense dialogue between established and emerging artists.
