Pequenos Formatos
—
It is with great pleasure that we announce the group exhibition “Small Formats”, curated by Juliana Cintra, which opens to the public on October 24 from 7pm to 10pm at the Silvia Cintra + Box 4 gallery. Featuring 39 modern and contemporary artists, the show highlights issues related to landscape, figuration, abstractionism, color and patterns. At the same time, a strong dialog between different generations is evident, with the common thread of paintings made in small formats, but also in how the themes of modernist authors such as Pancetti, Guignard and Volpi reverberate to this day in contemporary artists such as Luiz Zerbini, André Griffo and Miguel Afa. The exhibition was designed to create small ensembles and relationships between the works, based on these premises, but at no point is it closed. It leaves other readings and meanings open.
The exhibition invites us to come closer and contemplate details that go unnoticed by the most fleeting and ephemeral eyes, seeking to scrutinize the relationships between the 39 works present and how they span decades.
The gallery presents 7 represented artists, who are: Cristina Canale, Eloá Carvalho, Elvis Almeida, Felipe Cohen, Laercio Redondo, Roberto Magalhães and Thix, alongside 32 artists who make up the exhibition: Agrade Camíz, Ana Sario, André Griffo, Amadeo Luciano Lorenzato, Antonio Dias, Antonio Maluf, Arjan Martins, Arthur Palhano, Alberto da Veiga Guignard, Alfredo Volpi, Eduardo Berliner, Eleonore Koch, Eduardo Baltazar, Desali, Carlos Vergara Felipe Suzuki, Hércules Barsotti, Ivan Serpa, José Pancetti, Luiz Zerbini, Miguel Afa, Marcos Siqueira, Maria Leontina, Matheus Mestiço, Paulo Monteiro, Paulo Roberto Leal, Renata Leoa, Rodrigo Andrade, Rodrigo Bivar, Rubens Gerchman, Thales Pomb, Wanda Pimentel.
