Cerimonial
Edo Costantini
—
It is with great pleasure that we present “Cerimonial”, an exhibition by Edo Costantini, in collaboration with Delfina Braun and Delfina Muniz Barreto, opening to the public on March 20, 2025, at Silvia Cintra + Box 4 gallery.
Edo’s work centers on the sublime in nature, captured through ethereal representations of the forests surrounding Katonah, New York, as well as the seascapes and ancient rock formations of the Maine islands. The four charcoal drawings by Delfina Braun explore, in fine detail, the fauna that is also evoked in Edo’s photographs. The delicacy of her technique highlights that, despite the ongoing environmental crisis, the healing powers of flowers, plants, fungi, and herbs must prevail over the relentless exploitation of nature. The exhibition also presents five bronze sculptures — a collaboration between Edo Costantini, Delfina Braun, and Delfina Muniz Barreto — placed at the center of the gallery. These bronze floral forms, such as poppies, convey the symbolic weight that nature — as life and healing — must hold. Ultimately, the works are connected by a shared intent: to draw attention to the importance of nature as essential to both our physical and aesthetic existence. It is remarkable how, through three distinct mediums, the artists create a poetic narrative — offering fragments of childhood memories and a deeply human perception of the world around them.
In September 2025, Edo will inaugurate his first major solo museum exhibition at MAC Niterói, the iconic building designed by renowned modernist architect Oscar Niemeyer. The exhibition will span a decade of his work, including photography, film, music, and a sound sculpture installation.
Eduardo Francisco Costantini — born in Buenos Aires in 1976 — signs his work as Edo. He is a composer, photographer, and filmmaker who lives and works in the surroundings of Bedford Village, Bedford Hills, and Katonah, New York.
Delfina Braun is an artist who explores the intersection between nature and healing. With a background in psychology and a profound interest in health and restoration, her creative practice investigates the intrinsic healing power of the natural world.
Delfina Muniz Barreto is an Argentine artist and architect, deeply inspired by nature and its forms, remaining connected to the subtle memories of her childhood, much of which was spent in southern Brazil. After graduating in architecture from the University of Buenos Aires, she continued her studies in photography, art history, and painting.
